Jay has to have emergency back surgery

Donation protected
The amount of money all at once that insurance is forcing us to pay until we get proper medical care is insane.Oncology appointments have been made. Hopefully just wonky readings on blood work, this is not something that we need to go through this again. What a draining week. Jay is doing great , however now im in the hospital.  Potassium levels and blood sugar remain critical and unknown origin of infection.  SMH, need a break.

First we want to thank everyone that has helped in any way they could.  Jay’s “PTO” ran out after a very short period, 5 days or less.  Having a two day paycheck and now no paycheck coming is finically going to put us under.  The stress of his surgery , being in pain and still working remotely (even though he is off the clock) to help his clients is killing him mentally. I don’t even know what people do in situations like this.  I know i am venting, but i am far from ungrateful. We are blessed to have each and every friend / family member that thinks about us and loves my husband.  Now what to do about the lack of income due to current employment situation.

As everyone knows my husband Jay is the life of the party! He is also always going out of his way to make sure anyone that needs help gets it. He has been in severe pain and went to the brain and spine doctor yesterday and they are scheduling him for immediate surgery. He currently has a disk in his neck that is dead and is pressing against his nerves and he is losing function of his right arm. If they don’t do the surgery immediately he will permanently lose all feeling and function of his arm. This will put him down and off work for an additional three weeks. This whole process has already eaten up his PTO. We appreciate all of your help.
After is irregular ekg they pushed it until Monday. He has a dead floating disc in his neck pushing on his nerve. At this point he has lost 80% functionality in his arm. After his surgery he is supposed to regain his strength however the longer the wait the worse the damage . I guess medical insurance thinks everyone is millionaires. We had to cough up over $6k in one day just for copays prior to surgery and now he has to see a cardiologist before they will release him which is a whole new copay. WTH
