Jay Montoya's Cancer Expenses Fundraiser

I’m Jacob Montoya writing with a heavy heart and speaking on behalf of my family to create this fundraiser for my father Jay Montoya. Unfortunately on November 2nd, 2021 our father was diagnosed with colon cancer from a routine colonoscopy. Our family has no words to express how saddened we are about this recent news, nobody should ever have to go through this horrible nightmare of a disease. We’re starting this fundraiser to keep our father's medical insurance current in order to sustain his best opportunity at beating his urgent medical condition. Ever since October 28th, 2021 our father has received every test in and out of the hospital to ensure the safety of his future as a husband, and a father.

Our father has been the primary provider of our family, and he is an inspiration to all of us as the definition of a determined hard worker. This news became so foreign to all of us, especially since he is healthy and active. Luckily through this rising storm, we’ve been able to find a renowned Surgeon who is able to give the best care possible to our father Jay Montoya. On November 15th, 2021 our father will be undergoing a Colectomy. This procedure is a life-saving surgery to remove his cancer, and will hopefully ensure a bright future for us all to have more time with our father who we dearly love.

After this rapid life-saving surgery our father will be referred to an Oncologist to determine possible chemo treatment needed to further benefit his recovery efforts. The best option moving forward is for all of us to stay positive. Our father won't be able to work for at-least ten to twelve weeks with a good outcome. All donations will go to incoming medical bills and our father’s medical insurance premium for his health care to continue while on medical leave and recovery. Our hearts have already been touched by my friends, family, and generous individuals through positive encouragement, prayers, and flowers from those who know about our urgent situation. Many have reached out to us in order to help us in any way possible. In response to everyone’s generosity, we’ve started this medical fundraiser for anyone who is interested in helping in any small way.
