Jay Paskert Work Accident Relief

On Saturday, January 6th, 2024, my husband, Jay Paskert, suffered an extremely traumatic life-altering work injury, ultimately resulting in the amputation of both legs above his knees. He was rushed to the local hospital and quickly transferred to a Level 1 Trauma Center in Pittsburgh where Jay fought for his life in the operating room. While in the local hospital’s emergency room, the only words he could mutter were “I got God”. Jay’s faith is what has gotten him through all the struggles in his life and will be what gets him through this major life change. Despite only being five days into recovery, Jay has already underwent several surgeries and still has more to come for proper healing.

Prior to this life changing accident, Jay spent so much of his time surrounded by his family, whether at home for family game nights or at church and community events. He truly has always enjoyed the simple things in life, such as cutting his own grass and working on his daily crossword puzzles. Jay is an active member at our church as an usher, having taught children’s Sunday school for over 15 years, and is a longtime member of the church board. We have 5 children and 12 grandchildren in our still growing family.

His main priority has always been to provide a great life for our family. If you would like to help ease our family’s financial burden, any donation would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to recovery, life adaptations, and any other family support needed. This is going to be a long road to recovery, and while we don’t know exactly what the future looks like, every little bit helps as we navigate through this unexpected journey.
