Project:3 - Climbing Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse for LandAid

Hi, I’m Jay, and in April 2025, I’ll embark on my toughest challenge yet: climbing the iconic peaks of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse—all in a single season. This journey, which I’ve named Project:3, is not only about pushing my limits to achieve something extraordinary but also about creating a lasting impact by supporting LandAid, the property industry’s charity dedicated to ending youth homelessness in the UK.

Why is this Challenge so Extreme?

The Everest-Lhotse-Nuptse "Triple Crown" is one of the most gruelling tests in mountaineering.

Everest: The tallest mountain in the world at 8,848m, notorious for its brutal cold, thin air, and unpredictable weather.

Lhotse: The fourth-highest peak at 8,516m, with a steep and technical climb that demands focus and physical strength.

Nuptse: At 7,861m, it presents steep, icy ridges and extreme exposure, often overshadowed by its bigger neighbors but no less dangerous.

This challenge is the culmination of two years of intense training. I’ve spent six days a week in the gym, building the physical strength, endurance, and mental resilience needed to take on these mountains. My training has prepared me to face extreme altitudes, harsh weather conditions, and gruelling physical demands, but I know this climb will push me to limits I’ve never experienced before.

In 2022, I attempted to climb Nuptse but had to turn back just 60 meters shy of the summit. That experience taught me invaluable lessons about humility, perseverance, and making tough choices in the face of adversity. It has only fueled my determination to return and complete this trilogy.

Attempting all three peaks in a single season is a feat few have dared to attempt, and only one Brit has ever succeeded. This is a test of not just physical endurance but also mental toughness and unyielding resolve.

Why LandAid?

LandAid is the property industry’s charity, bringing together businesses and individuals to tackle the critical issue of youth homelessness in the UK. Every year, thousands of young people face the devastating reality of homelessness. LandAid works tirelessly to provide safe, affordable housing and life-changing support for those who need it most.

The determination and resilience required to overcome this expedition’s challenges mirror the struggles many young people face in rebuilding their lives. By supporting LandAid, this project connects with the property industry’s shared commitment to creating safe and sustainable spaces for everyone.

How Donations Will Be Used

Taking on this expedition is not only physically and mentally demanding but also requires significant financial resources. To ensure I can complete this journey, 85% of all donations by individuals* will go toward covering essential expedition costs, including gear, permits, travel, and logistical support. The remaining 15% will go directly to LandAid, supporting their vital work to end youth homelessness in the UK.

NOTE - 100% of donations by Indurent employees will go directly to LandAid. On top of this, Indurent has agreed to match all contributions to LandAid up to £5,000.

* In respect of corporate donations, 100% of funds will go directly toward essential expedition costs.

£49 / $62 could fund a safe place for ten nights.

£690 / $875 could provide emergency accommodation for a young person in crisis.
