Jayda Jean Feeney was born November 12th, 2004 with the hugest eyes, an old soul and a fierceness that radiated from day one. Jayda was wickedly smart, energetic and had a laugh that would cause you to burst into laughter yourself.

Jayda’s eyes have always twinkled with a fiery, relentless sparkle that engaged all that she met. Beautiful, inside and out, Jayda Jean touched all who’s presence she graced. A loving big sister, a thoughtful daughter who always made mom her favorite cupcakes for her Birthday. So loved in so many ways and so needed.

On December 6th, 2022 around 9:30pm, Jayda was killed in a horrific car accident, leaving her mom Chantel, little sister Saige and extended family heartbroken and forced to deal with life without Jayda in it. Jayda was only 18 years old for less than a month. Her last high school year and life cut too short. There were three other passengers/driver in the vehicle who are being treated for their sustained injuries and are expected to survive.

We cannot begin to tell you how strong Jayda's mom is. Since day one being predominantly a single mother, she always showed up for her girls in every way, steadfast, strong, and responsible. Chantel has tirelessly, effortlessly, financially, emotionally, strived every single day to care for her family, never asking for help as her shoulders are far stronger than most. She has passionately worked to provide her daughters with all the support and opportunities, on her own, never expecting help from anyone.

Now, in this moment of incomprehensible pain, Chantel needs our help. While we cannot fathom the pain, nor take away the heartbreak, we can help her family grieve, hold vigil, and protect themselves during this trying time.

Again, Chantel would never ask for help, it may even pain her to do so. However, we are here as her support, family, friends, and confidants extending the olive branch of support. We are asking for any assistance to help with funeral costs, leave of absence and/or anything else that Jayda’s mom and little sister may need to make it through this difficult time. Always selfless, always there for her loved ones, no questions asked. It is time we help carry a bit of Chantel’s burden.

When you look at the sky tonight tell Jayda how much you love her and ask she radiate her love to all who remain. Until we see you again Jayda Jean Feeney, you will be missed for all our remaining days on earth. Jayda’s impact on her peers has been seen at her vigil and on social media. The pain is felt by her loved ones but is also felt by her community and friends.

Our hearts go out to the other families and children involved in this tragic accident. Please keep Jayda, Chantel, Saige and the rest of our family/friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely, Nichole Dehen & Nick Tellez

**please note this accident is still pending investigation, there have been no determinations of toxicology reports nor causes of accident at this time.**
