Jayden and Brycen Catoe Medical Emergency Help

My name is Dawna McMackin and I am raising funds to help Candace and Randy Durham’s family with lodging costs, medical expenses, travel costs, and any other expenses related to Jayden and Brycen Catoe’s injuries. If you feel led to donate, these funds will go directly to Candace Durham.

 

Jayden and Brycen’s Story: While hanging out with each other enjoying the evening, they were making a fire in the fire pit and poured gasoline in it. The flame went into the gas can and blew up while Jayden was holding it.

The paramedics acted quickly and made the decision to helivac Jayden to JMS Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta Georgia. Jayden has 3rd degree burns on 60% of his body. Brycen was taken by ambulance to the same hospital with 2nd degree burns on his legs.

Brycen is in the Pediatric Burn Unit and having surgery this morning around 7.

Jayden is in the Pediatric Trauma Burn ICU and will have surgery this morning around 8. He will require several surgeries over the next few months, as of right now. He will be sedated, and intubated for at least 3 weeks for the majority of the surgeries to be completed. They don't really have a timeline because they not only have to watch the burns but Jayden is diabetic, which is another worry.

This will be a long road....

Candace, Randy, Chris and Jaime are with Jayden in the Pediatric Trauma Burn ICU while Brandon is with Brycen in the Pediatric Burn Unit.

 

PLEASE pray for the boys, Candace, Randy, Brandon, Chris and Jaime. Pray for Jayden and Brycen as they go into surgery this morning. Pray for their doctors hands to be steady and to have no complications.
