Jayden Hagen-Beckett’s fight with Leukaemia.

I’m starting a fundraiser to help my 16-year-old daughter, Jayden, who has been diagnosed with APL Leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She’s currently in Saskatoon was receiving radiation daily alongside aggressive chemotherapy, which is taking a toll on her body. Just recently, they added a second regimen of chemo with radiation, which is causing severe sickness. They are also giving her blood transfusions.

Jayden is now facing additional challenges, including mobility issues caused by growths being on her spine in two locations. A spinal specialist has seen her, surgery isn’t possible right now due to the high risk of bleeding and clotting caused by the leukemia. The doctors are working hard to stabilize her over the next 72 hours, but there’s a growing fear that her ability to walk may be permanently affected. If this happens, our family will need to install lifts and make the home wheelchair accessible.

Our family has had to leave our home city of Moose Jaw to be by her side during this difficult time and will be in Saskatoon for the next two months. The financial strain of living in another city, medical costs, and daily expenses is overwhelming and we need some help.

Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and help us focus on what truly matters, Jayden’s recovery.
