Jayden’s 2023 Jr. National Wrestling Championship

And he did it! Just a couple months after having an amazing wrestling season, Jayden accomplished his ultimate goal as a freshman.....winning first place at the 2023 Junior Division CA State Freestyle Championship in his weight division. JAYDEN DELA ROSA our California State champion at just 15 years old with only 3 years wrestling experience. One thing about Jayden is that he is always determined to do what it takes to achieve his goals. The day prior to winning State, he had to forfeit the cadet tournament due to an injury that was deemed too dangerous to continue to wrestle that day. He refused to sit out in the junior division the following day which fueled his Mamba like motivation. He came back hungry for Gold. As his family celebrated his victory, Jayden was invited to represent California in the 2023 US Marine Corps Junior & 16U Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota which is the most prestigious high school wrestling tournaments aka the superbowl of high school wrestling. Jayden has qualified to wrestle both in the Freestyle and the Roman Greco tournaments at Fargo. Many champions and all Americans placers have gone on to win college national titles, world medals and Olympic medals after making it to Fargo. Jaydens tunnel vision has kicked in as he's started his summer training for Fargo. First stop Iowa Hawkeyes wrestling camp, followed by the Sundevil wrestling camp at Arizona State and then train with Team California before the National tournament.
