Jayden’s thank you & goodbye - Dance-A-Thon for St Dominics

Hi, my name is Jayden and I am 13 years old. I am about to finish primary school. I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism when I was very little. My Mam and Dad were told I wouldn’t cope in mainstream school but I went to the best ….St Dominic's National School in Tallaght. I had so much help from my teachers, SNAs and all the staff there. I wanted to leave something as a gift to say thank you!

You see my brain works a bit differently to the other kids in my class and sometimes I find it very hard to concentrate, understand what’s being taught and sitting still is hard for me too. My teachers found ways to help me learn in my own way. My SNAs and resource teachers gave me huge support too.

I want to raise enough money to buy a sensory pod for the children behind me in school so they can have a break when they need it and then their day will be a bit easier.

I LOVE to dance and perform. My dream is to be a dance teacher one day!

On the 26th of June I will be doing a Dance-A-Thon in my school. I will be teaching a dance in every class in the school and at the end of the day we will all have one last dance together.
