Jay Jay Recovery/Medical Expenses

Please help us fund our loved one Jay Jay. He is a young man working hard to better his life. He is the Dietary Manager at our Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. Staff, residents, and family members all know him as a caring and happy young man, who works hard to take care of everyone, especially the residents. Simply put, he is selfless. Early Saturday morning Oct. 22nd he ran just down the street to the store to grab raisin bread for the resident’s breakfast that morning. Before he could even get out of the car another man approached his car and shot numbers of rounds at close range directly at Jay Jay and then fled the scene leaving him for dead. The 10+ shots hit and damaged vital areas including his kidneys, liver, abdomen, spine, right arm, and both legs. In fear and with what little life was left in him he tried to get out of the car to find someone to help him, but simply couldn’t.
Him, his family, friends, and work community have all been left in pain and heartache as we wait in angst praying for him to make it through his extensive surgeries. Currently he is on life support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with an open chest cavity; as he is too swollen still to have the pieces of him that were operated on put back inside.
Anything that can be done to help take some of the burden and stress off of his family and loved ones is appreciated. We are asking for funding to help alleviate the present extensive medical expenses and whatever additional medical expenses that may accrue in the future. All help is appreciated and much needed for this young man and his family. Funding will go directly to Jay Jay to help cover recovery costs including his surgeries and physical therapies. The funds will secondarily aid in the surrounding areas of his regular life that are jeopardized by this incident including housing and other bills due to his missed work time, etc. Additionally, please pray for his health and recovery. The love and strength of our community are with him; and although we cannot take his pain away, please help us support him.
