Jayla Escape Domestic Abuse

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read about this. I have hesitated for so long on making my situation public, but I am at the end of my rope and I cannot take any more. I have been involved in a domestically abusive situation for a while now, and I have always felt like I could not escape this person. I didn’t know how to leave when it would mean leaving everything behind.

Everything reached a boiling point today when this person destroyed my iPad, the only device I have to contact people with since this person also withholds my phone from me. This person has increased their control over my life to the point where I have been sitting at the park/McDonald’s during the day & sleeping outside at night because they tell me that I am not allowed inside. This person has gaslit me and led me to consider suicide because I felt like I could never escape them or the effect they have on my life. Thank God for my dear friends who were aware of some of the things happening and finally talked to me last night and told me that this is not normal and that I need to get away from them before it is too late. I have created this GoFundMe in an effort to do just that. Even though things seem dark right now and I am not sure how I will get through the next few days, or even the next minute, I remain hopeful that this is not the end of my story and that things will get better bit by bit.

The funds raised will go towards securing emergency housing, transportation, and replacing my things that were taken or broken. I have also set up a cashapp account: $jaylamob2023 .
