Jaylyn Almond-Brain Tumor Diagnosis
Donation protected
My niece Jaylyn Almond (9yo) was recently diagnosed (11/28) with Medulloblastoma (Brain Tumor).
Her parents took her to the local ER several times, and she was tested for everything under the moon for the past two months, and nothing was found. Last night they decided to go to Children's Hospital and did a CT Scan and MRI, and her parents, Amanda and Orlando, finally got a diagnosis. Although not what they were hoping for, she is at one of the best hospitals for children.
She will have surgery to remove the fluid and tumor on her brain. We won’t know the diagnosis of the tumor for a few days, but as you can imagine, her parents will be by her side until she can come home.
Amanda Kalnoskas (my sister) is a mother to 5 and has worked at IHop in Prince Frederick for 10+ years. Jaylyn’s parents will be unable to work as they will be by her side at Children's. Unfortunately, neither of them has “sick, vacation pay” available to them, so every day at the hospital is lost wages for them. There will be a long road to recovery, so anything is appreciated to help.
Jaylyn will have to be homeschooled and have Chemo/Radiation at Children's in DC.
Please consider making ANY size donation, no amount too small, to help them get through this difficult time.
If unable to donate, please keep them all in your prayers.
You can donate on this GoFundMe or directly to her Venmo account @Amanda-Kalnoskas or CashApp $Amandakalnoskas.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
