Jayme L. Williams (Rooster) Officer 722
Donation protected
Many of you know him as Rooster, many know him as Itasca County Sheriff Deputy 722..
Jayme fell ill with Covid on Dec. 11th, he tried maintaining at home recovering, but kept becoming more ill as the days went on. On Dec. 15th his wife Dusty brought him to Deer River Emergency Room where she had to drop him off & leave. Deer River decided to keep him until they could find him an ICU bed somewhere.
On Dec. 16th they found Jayme an ICU bed in Virginia, MN .. he then was transported via ambulance there.
Jayme continued to become more ill, developing Covid Pneumonia, he was on a C-Pap/Bi-Pap machine for oxygen and a cocktail of different medications, including Covid meds, Sterioids, Blood Thinners, Blood Pressure meds, ect.
We thought he was possibly on the up and up as they were slowly reducing his oxygen to see what he could handle on his own.
Jayme started complaining of terrible stomach pain on Dec. 26th, he ended up having an MRI.
The MRI indicated Jayme had a laceration on his liver and was bleeding internally. He needed surgery.
On the early morning of Dec. 27th Jayme went into surgery at roughly 1am .. they came to the conclusion his laceration was caused from coughing so hard or possibly them hitting him with the needle they did in his belly.
Jayme went into cardiac arrest where they worked for 22 minutes to bring him back, and they did. However the bleeding kept getting worse and he fought hard. Eventually Jaymes lungs started filling full of blood and there was nothing more they could do.
Jayme flew up to heaven to be with his dad on the early morning hours of December 27th.
He leaves behind a wife (Dusty) 3 kids, (Walker, 17 - Connor, 14 - Cheyenne, 12) and a loving dog Lucy.
Jayme was 41 years old.
