Jaymi and Kids Emancipation Fund

Hi, my name is Katie Drew. My cousin Jaymi is trying to start a new life out of a failing marriage that didn't allow her oldest child to live at home with her. After nine years of marriage, she needs to start fresh. With little help, this is becoming extremely difficult as the promise of an equitable and amicable separation and divorce has evaporated. She is fighting to keep her oldest child home with her instead of living over two thousand miles away because the stepfather refused to provide a loving presence. She is fighting to keep her home, receive equitable support and provide her children with the life they deserve and peace of mind. Meanwhile, the situation, while already toxic, gets worse.

I am asking that you help me to raise enough money to get a retainer for Jaymi to get a decent lawyer and help pay additional legal fees that may accrue.

She is one of the best moms I have ever known; she fought to keep her family together in a situation she didn't think she could escape. Please consider donating so this very stressful situation doesn't get worse, and this man doesn't force his way back into her life.
