Jays Day
Hi everyone, I am running the London marathon this year in October to raise money for the Greenwich and Bexley Hospice. Sadly our family lost Jay to cancer on 17th August 2021. Jay was such a loveable character, who brightened every room. I have such fond memories of him at family parties (as you can see from the photo) and our Christmas days together. He was a family man who is missed by so many. In his own words " I'm just a simple man from south London"
The Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice looked after Jay in his final days and were a great support system not only to Jay but to Maisie and Mandy also. They offer compassionate support and comfort to so many families in some of their darkest days. No amount of money raised will be enough to show our appreciation for these true heroes.
As well as running the marathon Jays family has organized a Funday (Jay's Day) on Friday 3rd June at Sidcup Conservative Club, Oxford road DA14 6LW. Again all monies raised on this day will be going to the Hospice. Everyone is welcome to come down and support such a great charity. There will be lots of stalls, prizes to be won, an Auction, DJ, and lots of fun things for the kids. It really is a day not to be missed.
