Jay Robinson is loved and respected by many people, young and old.  He has a compassionate and giving heart and his love for God and his family are so easily seen by those that know him.  His precious wife is such a dear friend of mine as is he.  He just received some news that has forever changed his and his family's life.  His story is below in his own words.

Hey everybody! Just wanted to give an update on my situation, since I haven't been on here much this past week. It's been a heckuva week.
First, most of you may know I was battling a high fever for about 3 days and finally decided to go to the doctor. Well after examination, flu test, streph test, and a urine sample, they were still stumped. I happen to mention a pain I'd been having in my side. So, she thought maybe I was getting a kidney stone. So she ordered some X-rays and blood work. Results came back, X-rays looked fine but blood work a little out of whack. So, CT ordered. So we went looking for a kidney stone. Had the CT. When the guy asked me had I injured myself lately and said he needed some more pictures, I knew that couldn't be a good sign. I went home and the doctor office called to change my appointment from the next day to that day. Another flag! So, off we go to hear the results. This is when my life hit the PAUSE button!!! Results were as follows: large mass on my left side, small spots on lung (1) and liver (3). The mass was touching spleen, lung, liver, and colon. Not sure of its origination point.
So needless to say, more tests ordered. Endoscope, colonoscopy, CT of head and lungs. I was feeling very defeated and scared. I was really worried about my head CT because I have headaches quite often. I just knew I had a brain full of lesions. So, had those tests yesterday. Endoscope was fine other than some stomach irritation from the Ibuprofen I had been using for fever. Colonoscopy did find a growth in the area of the mass. Dr. Bhandari took biopsy. He told Cheryl he couldn't say it was or wasn't cancer. Everything else looked good. So, after the grogginess wore off I was off for the dreaded CT scan of my head and the scan of my lungs. Praise God, all that came back clean. I was relieved. Still we had the mass issue and it was looming. My doctor's office still wanted us to decide worse case scenario situational decisions..what cancer hospital? Two recommendations were, of course, MD Anderson and Baylor. So we decided to go with MDA. They called and got me in the system and now we are just waiting on pathology report on biopsy.
So, making this long story just a little bit longer, we sit and wait for my results to come next week to see if I indeed have the dreaded "C" word.
We remain positive and know God is in control. We are believing that when my results come back, I can cancel that appointment at MDA. If not and God chooses to take me down another path, we'll still trust Him. What else do I have?
So, my request to all of you is, pray for me and my family. Pray I will be able to cancel that appointment. Pray whatever happens God will guide us. We have had such a flood of kind words and gestures, inspiring comments, prayers, cries, and everything imaginable, it has humbled us all. We love each and every one of you for that. This has changed our lives forever!!! Sorry, this has been so long, just wanted to update to those who have had questions.
Now, we just wait on God.

UPDATE: Well it appears that my tests results were not in my favor. I have cancer. The report from the tumor removed from my colon was in fact cancer but did not originate there. So that means wherever it started, it has spread. We are waiting for one report to send to MD Anderson to schedule my first appointment. Looks like it could be a couple of weeks. So, I just ask that you continue the prayers, especially for my wife and kids. We have some dark days ahead and a fight that will be the fight of and for my life. I love all of you who have shown us so much love and compassion. You will never know how much it all means to us. God bless!

As you can see, he never fails to mention his family before himself.

Let's all stand together and help support this family in a time when they need it the most. While Jay may have always been the rock for his family, as his friends, we can now be the rock that HE needs.

Please give whatever you can to help support this family in the journey they have just begun to Jay's Recovery!! God is still in control and please pray for this family as God will hear the cries of his Saints!

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and heal Jay and keep him and his family close to Him!
