Jay's Road to Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On June 21st Jay was riding his bike to work and was struck by a vehicle, they ran over his left leg, fracturing his femur in half and his hip. He underwent emergency surgery at Harborview to insert a rod, the full length of his femur, and pins to repair his hip. He was discharged on Monday the 25th. The pain of recovery has been so excruciating the only way to get any relief is for him to be on a strick pain management schedule including pain medication, muscle relaxer for spasms, tylenol, and anti-blood clotting injections. I am here to assist him with his day to day activities and be his nurse, help with physical therapy, support him emotionally and be a mother to our 2 kids and a caregiver to my mother who lives with us also, not easy, I'll attest to that! He cannot bare any weight on his leg for atleast 6 weeks and we both will be out of work for that amount of time, maybe more. We do not have a definite way to supplement our income, and no extra funds for emergencies like this. I'm asking for prayers, as well as any friendly contributions to help with medical needs/ambulance bills as well as in home therapy (90$/visit), rent/bills and groceries for the next 8 weeks. We were barely squeaking by before the accident (Seattles cost of living has gotten so expensive!!) and now it seems our world has been flipped upside down. Every day has been so rough, emotionally, physically, and mentally and we would greatly appreciate any sort of donation for his road to recovery to ease our worries a bit, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts...
