Right now, we’re running our project Jbay surf house out of a container. To truly make a difference in these kids’ lives, we need a HOUSE. With your support, we can create a space that changes everything ❤️
What Do We Do?✨
We’re Jbay surf house, a nonprofit working with kids in the Pellrus townships (a township is a very poor area where families often struggle with basic needs like food and safety). Right now, we focus on surfing. Why surfing? It’s the one activity we can offer with the ocean so close by. And after every free surf lesson the kids also get a free healthy snack!
But their reality is tough. Many grow up surrounded by addiction, street life, and homes impacted by alcohol abuse. With no opportunities and nothing else to do, they often end up wandering the streets and falling into drugs at a young age.
Surfing gives them something positive to focus on, something to connect with. But we want to do even MORE.
We Want to Offer More Than Surfing!
