On 9/13/2022, the world lost a great man. Steven Romo, you will be missed beyond words. We are raising money for his wife, Shannon Romo, to cover final expenses. Two years ago, Steve was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He had surgery to remove the entire right kidney and the majority of his left kidney and had been receiving dialysis treatments three times a week. Doctors were hopeful; just last week, he passed his last set of medical tests to be approved for the kidney transplant list. However, he unexpectedly suffered a major cardiac arrest on Saturday night, and we lost him on Wednesday morning. Steve was a loving and giving man and valued people and relationships over all else. Now, in a twist of fate, he shifted from organ transplant candidate to organ donor. Despite his lifelong struggles with vision, he was able to donate his corneas to the One Sight Foundation. Through his love of the Raiders, Steve and Shannon were both members of the Inland Empire Raiders Booster Club and were able to support the Ronald McDonald House through their club. Todd's Funeral Home is handling arrangements and he will be laid to rest at Pomona Cemetary. If able, any amount will be appreciated as we try to reach our goal of $25,000.
