JB's Marathon Run to Support Believe in a Cure!
Tax deductible
Many of you know I'm running the NYC marathon, either because I told you, or because Devon told you and then proceeded to roll her eyes. The countdown is on!
You may know our very close friends, Ilissa and Scott Reich, and the difficult journey they've been on with their son, Eli. Eli is 3 years old, and he suffers from FOXG1 syndrome, a severe brain disease that leaves him unable to walk, talk, or do anything independently. He is wheelchair-bound and suffers from seizures, a movement disorder, a sleep disorder, and more - it's devastating. There is presently no cure, but the Reich's are changing that.
Through Believe in a Cure (www.webelieveinacure.org), they have raised millions, funded 50 research and development projects worldwide, and been profiled on the TODAY show, in PEOPLE magazine and elsewhere for their tireless efforts to help Eli and the 800 other kids worldwide with this rare disease. Time is of the essence to save Eli, and the work needs to continue to accelerate.
I am proudly dedicating my marathon run in support of their efforts, and I invite you to join me in supporting Believe in a Cure in honor of my run.
Thank you in advance for your support. Together we can make a difference!
