H2Strong (Not Today Cancer!)
Donation protected
So many people have reached out about a way to help Blake and Hailey in this uncharted time of little Hailey Holder's (H2) life. This sweet girl was diagnosed with cancer on May 16 as she celebrated her 1st birthday. Less than a week later she received the diagnosis of Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
Hailey Holder's mommy noticed a small knot on her left thigh. Blake and Hailey felt that she needed to see her pediatrician . He sent her for an X-ray and a short time later she was on her journey to a diagnosis. Hailey Holder has, in a short span of 10 days, had to be sedated for the CT of her leg, MRI, tumor biopsy that quickly turned into a complete tumor removal, CT of her lungs, PET scan and is scheduled for more biopsies and the placement of her port.
According to Children's Oncology Group (COG) the protocol for Hailey Holder's treatment of Rhabdo consists of 42 rounds of chemo, radiation daily for 4- 6 weeks during her cycles of chemo, many more scans and she will have maintenance chemo for an undetermined amount of time. Cancer treatments are difficult but to watch a small child endure these treatments is almost unimaginable. This is a parents worst nightmare!
In order for Blake and Hailey to focus on the care and attention H2 needs during this time, we put together a plan of the amount it would take to keep the framework of their life intact. Hailey has recently started a new job and they have incurred all new insurance deductibles. The mortgage, cars, household bills, and offsetting the lost wages is a substantial amount. This family will be faced with the burden of living away from home periodically during a portion of treatment. The goal will be set at $100,000.
For all those who want to help in a tangible way for this lengthy fight to Hailey Holder's recovery, a donation to help keep this family focused on her recovery and not the anticipated bills that have already started flowing in daily. The goal is to reduce as much stress as possible for this precious family.

We will update as more needs emerge for hands on support in this journey to recovery. For now this show of support, love, along with thoughts, and many prayers for healing is so immensely appreciated.
