Cowra Japanese Garden Needs your Help to Survive
The Cowra Japanese Garden & Cultural Centre is a self funded, Not for Profit organisation, and a registered Charity.
All donations are Tax Deductible.
The Garden was established over 34 years ago and is the largest and most authentic Japanese Garden in the Southern Hemisphere.
Together with the Cowra Japanese War Cemetery and the Cowra P.O.W Breakout Site, it represents the most important cultural link between Australia and Japan.
The Garden is entirely funded by public admission charges .
The closure of the Garden to the public due to the Covid-19 restrictions has placed the future of the Garden in jeopardy. We have lost our only source of income for at least 6 months and possibly longer as it will take many months for visitor numbers to return to a viable level once travel restrictions are removed.
The maintenance costs on this 5 hectare Garden and Cultural Centre are substantial and without significant financial assistance we will be unable to continue.
