In Memory of Allen Dickey

My name is Jong, and I am a friend of Allen and Jennifer Dickey. Allen passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 5th. The cause is unknown, but he may have suffered a stroke. Jennifer was with Allen on Sunday when he suddenly collapsed and stopped breathing. The paramedics were able to revive him briefly, but he soon passed away.

Some of you may know their two wonderful boys, Chris and Drew. Chris just graduated from high school, and he plans to attend Arizona State University this fall. Drew is starting 9th grade and plays school and club soccer. As you can imagine, they are devastated by the loss of their father as they were very close to Allen.

I wanted to start this fundraiser to alleviate any financial burdens faced by Jennifer in the next several months.

Allen was a family man at heart. Allen thought he was the luckiest guy in the world to have Jennifer as his wife, and he was so incredibly proud of his sons. Chris and Drew are incredibly kind, intelligent and compassionate, just like their father. Allen was so excited about Chris going to college, and he spent so much time looking for the best soccer team for Drew. He also loved his mother and brother dearly. After his father passed away several years ago, he talked about how grateful he was to have his mother and his brother in his life as he loved them dearly.

Allen was also a cancer survivor. About 5-6 years ago, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He was so brave as he endured the years of chemo and other treatments that taxed him physically and mentally.

Allen also loved his friends, extended family, colleagues and neighbors. Whenever someone he cared about was struggling, he was always there for them. I can’t tell you the countless times he has sent me resumes of friends who had recently lost a job, and he worked so hard to find them a new job. Being the gifted and talented lawyer that he was, I remember how he generously lent his time and advice to help someone in need. Allen went above and beyond to advocate for his friends and neighbors. I am now advocating for Allen. Would you please consider donating to help give Jennifer some peace of mind as she and their boys navigate the next several months on their own?
