I need your help again! Help me, please.
I found Blanca the first week in August. Emaciated (3.3lbs), days from dying, in ketosis. I also found an angel: Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue of Long Island. Blanca is still alive. Her chances of survival then were under 20%. Right away she was put on IV fluids, fed kitten food mixed w/baby food every 2 hours! ketosis smell went away. That was a huge turn of events. Since then she went to the vet every week. She is now 7lbs. She even has a layer of fat on her. Her fur has grown back. She is active running around. Loves being held. she purrs all the time. SHE MAKE IT but, she has broken teeths and the roots are exposed, some teeths rotting and her gums are bleeding. The vet had to wait. It was impossible to go ahead with surgery. The broken teeths must be removed. Her gums must be cleaned. Now, after lenghty discussions with this amazing vet, it is been decided to proceed with surgery. No matter what her teeth have to come out and gums cleaned up. She also will be spayed and the vet will do a biopsy of her intestines. She is FIV and leukemia negative. The vet offered a huge discount (more than half od the total). She loves Blanca too. IT IS CONSIDERED A HIGH-RISK SURGERY. The vet has blocked out her entire surgical dau for her. All the money we have raised is gone now and even some remaining was paid from out of pocket of the owners of Home Sweet Home. This is the last time I am asking you to help me, to help Blanca Grace. I promise. Because I know that after that Blanca will be ready (after she heals) for adoption. I know that after that it will be a LOVELY FOREVER HOME FOR HER. Can you please help me again? Can you, please? BLANCA DESERVES THIS CHANCE TO A GREAT HEALTHY LIFE. BLANCA DESERVES THIS DREAM TO COME TRUE: a forever sweet home for her, for the rest of her life.
