Colleen’s Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Please help support our friend Colleen as she remains brave and strong in her continued fight against cancer!
As many of you know, one month into opening Twist Bakery in August 2019, Colleen was hospitalized with a tumor on her ovary which was removed as part of partial hysterectomy along with her appendix. Colleen bravely faced a challenging road and many of you provided donations to support her fight. She overcame multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. Sadly, as she was approaching her one year milestone, her cancer returned. In that time, we celebrated her marriage to Nevado while she remained strong in dealing with many, many, many medical challenges.
Colleen, once again, needs support from friends and family. She has existing medical bills and will continue to accrue medical costs that are not covered, despite having health insurance. Colleen also made the difficult decision to once again go on disability and take a leave from work to focus on her cancer battle. She now has over 5 tumors, surgery is no longer an option, she has GI challenges, stents in her ureters, other impacts from meds, and she is about to start another chemo treatment option. Colleen remains positive and may even attempt a holistic solution if this chemo treatment doesn’t shrink her tumors.
Even with family and friends rallying behind Colleen to provide support, she will still need help covering the many unexpected costs of fighting cancer. Every donation counts! Please give what you can when you can. Let's show some love and Care for Colleen!
