Just a week ago, Jake Higgins made an unexpected ER visit due to bowel issues. Just days later, we received the devastating news of a diagnosis of Stage IV Colon Cancer. In addition, the cancer has spread to his liver, and he is undergoing tests to determine if spots on his lungs are treatable. The chance of contracting this type of cancer is 1 in 5,000,000.
Jake is only 28 years old. This was a shocking diagnosis for a healthy young man. He must now start the long and arduous journey of beating this cancer. Jake is not the type of guy to ask others for help or money but the medical bills have already started to pile up. We all need to support Jake as much as possible so he can focus on his health and not worry about the financial burdens resulting from medical costs.
