Mike Coddington Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
I am writing to you about my friends, Anna Coddington and her husband, Mike. Mike has been going through kidney dialysis for the last 3 months. Unfortunately, when Mike was 12 years old, he was misdiagnosed and not treated properly for pneumonia, which led to glomerulosclerosis; a disease in which scar tissue develops on the glomeruli, the small parts of the kidneys that filter waste from the blood. In 1989, at the age of 21, the kidneys succumbed to the illness and his kidneys failed. He started dialysis 3 times a week for 6 months. Mike was fortunate to receive a donor kidney from his brother that same year.
In the spring of 2022, Mike was in and out of the hospital numerous times and suffering. In December, he was told that his kidney had failed and was no longer functioning and would need another kidney transplant.
As previously mentioned, Mike is currently going through dialysis and is in desperate need of a donor with type O blood. Anna and her daughter, Lexi, have both been tested, but unfortunately neither are a match. To date, they have found no match for Mike.
This wonderful family knows this is a lot to ask, but they are reaching out in the hope of finding someone with blood type 0 who will be a match.
If you are interested in becoming a kidney donor for Mike,
you will be covered through the NKR….National Kidney Registry. This registry will cover lost wages up to $2,000, per week, travel and lodging expenses for out of state, and all medical expenses paid through their insurance. For more information, please visit
National Kidney Registry.
Thank you for reading my post and please feel free to share it. Any donation received would be greatly appreciated to help Anna, Mike and their family through this difficult time.
