A few years ago I was diagnosed with Histoplasmosis.
My symptoms from this disease are a dry cough and chest discomfort.
The most severe cases of Histoplasmosis occurs primarily in people with comproised immune systems.Called disseminated Histoplasmosis can affect nearly any part of your body,including your mouth,liver,central nervous system,skin and adrenal glands.If untreated,disseminated Histoplasmosis is usually fatal.
Histoplasmosis can cause a number of serious complications,even in healthy people.Other complications that come from this disease are
acute respiratory distress syndrome,heart problems,adrenal insufficiency and meningitis.
The round spots in my x-ray are called nodules.
It is an infection caused by breathing in spores of a fungus often found in bird and bat droppings.
Histoplasmosis is most commonly transmitted when these spores become airbourne from soil contaminated.
The disease can not be transmitted from an infected
person to someone else.
I have now developed Chronic Lung Disease.
Chronic lung disease resembles tuberculosis and can worsen over months or years.
It has taken away from my breathing,I now have to rely on a inhaler.
Growing up as a kid, my dream was to open up my own business one day.Everyone has dreams of what they want to do later in life and that is my passion.
