Help save Buddy’s leg!

Buddy is an approximately 6 month old kitten rescued off the streets of downtown Los Angeles. I had been feeding her and providing a litter box for a while outside of the shop I work in, (she was a 100% stray). About one week ago, after not appearing for some time, she reappeared limping with what looked like a broken leg, so I scooped her up and brought her home. I had not previously planned on being a cat owner but now I’m hopelessly attached to this little creature. I’m the only person she has ever trusted, pretty sure.

The last week has been a steady stream of phone calls and vet appointments, to make a long story short, her first leg joint above the paw, (knee), is not broken but dislocated with torn tendons. No way to know how it happened but probably she got her paw stuck in something and pulled too hard(?). I’ve taken her to a pet hospital, (Access in Pasadena), and a veterinarian college in Pomona for X-rays and consultation and feel confident having the surgeon at Western University in Pomona do the surgery. I’ve been putting everything so far on a credit card, ($2k so far), additional costs estimated to be around $6-7k. I’m willing to go into debt for this cat but if anyone wants to help, it’s much appreciated. Thank you all.
