Denise Smith

My name is Kathy Council, and I am a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Our church is located in the Greenwood area between Grove Hill and Thomasville. We are a very small church, and we have a heartfelt situation with a young family at our church, and my prayer is that you take the time to read about it. Our church member, Denise Smith, affectionately know as “Neecie”, has been a church member for a very long time. She was my partner, and she and I worked together each Sunday bringing music to our church. She always sat at the sound board, and each Sunday she would come in, walk to the soundboard and pull the music of the hymns we would sing. Recently, her health has been declining, and her place at the sound board has been left empty. She was hospitalized this past fall as her health continued to decline. Recently, her remaining family members had to make some very hard decisions as Neecie’s body could not heal. Neecie died on March 3rd leaving such a loss to this world. Not only is her family mourning the loss of their sister, but the financial burden of a burial is now in their hands. Young families don’t have money for burials put away, and that is why our church is prayerfully asking you to help her family with this financial hardship. Neecie touched many lives through softball and church, and her family would be so thankful for your donation.
