Cheryl's Road to Recovery

Hello everyone reading this. We've given this option a lot of thought. We just weren't sure about asking for help. It isn't really our way but sometimes your in interesting positions in life and you just have to do it.
As many of you know Cheryl was in a car accident 11/7/22. She was at a stop light and was rear ended. She sustained a concussion, whiplash amd other auto accident injuries. Unfortunately the person who hit her had no license and the car he was driving had limited insurance. Cheryl also didn't have under insured motorist coverage so there's no right to sue.
Over the holidays we noticed Cheryl was having some issues and by the beginning of January couldn't work. Couldn't carry conversations. The light in her eyes had been replaced by a look of uncertainty and bewilderment. It was so frightening to watch. And for her it was even scarier. She was restless and lost. She's developed anxiety and depression issues. Medical care has been hard. Auto accidents bring out a whole new set of rules. But she had no benefits. It's been difficult. Lots of testing, MRIs, neurological exams we find ourselves looking at high medical costs and treatments that are very expensive. We are looking at a therapy that costs $250/visit with the neurologist suggesting 20-40 visits to start. Testing. Cognitive therapies. We see the neuro ophthalmologist tomorrow because of the severe vision changes. Shes sees everything small. Her perception is off. Every day is challenging. It seems like we see some progress but its all very slow.
Cheryl presented a book of symptoms she has been writing down and it was gut wrenching listening to her list all of these things.. She has been doing everything to help facilitate her healing. She misses life to say the least. And life definitely misses her.
Life.. it was really cruising along. The timing of this sucks!! It's been life stopping. And here we are. Asking for help. Asking to bring some relief to the ever mounting cost of medical and living expenses.
Thank you to everyone giving or sharing or praying or caring. We appreciate it. We know we just have to keep pushing forward. Keep believing. Having faith. And being grateful for each other.
