KLJJ 95.1 FM
WE ARE EXCITED TO ANOUNCE A BRAND NEW COMMUNITY FM RADIO STATION COVERING THE WOODLANDS, SPRING, AND SHENANDOAH, TEXAS.
We started this process several years ago. Now, we are down to the final weeks to get this FCC Licensed Low Power FM station on the air or lose our frequency. Our deadline is December 17, 2015.
We need your help to make this Big Adventure happen to start making life better. We want to put on the air a local Christian FM Radio Station. Yes, an area that has a population of 300,000 people. The World Headquarters for ExxonMobil will be right in our listening area.
My wife Wilda and I volunteer for The Lion of Judah Ministries. That is the name of the non-profit corporation a 501 (c) 3 tax deductible organization that holds the construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission. This document is the authorization that would allow us to build the Radio Station. When I say build that means to acquire the equipment to make a broadcast station possible.
Our greatest need right now is to find a tower location for the antenna and transmitter. I have several options for a studio that will come later. Late Friday afternoon, I found out that we may have a location. It’s a tower at Radio Station previously known as KJOJ where I worked in 1990-1994. Another Christian Organization uses the tower for a backup location. How amazing is that?
Please pray for us that we can find the correct tower location and the Federal Communications Corporation (FCC) will approve the move. Also, pray with us that the rest of the money will come in to put the station on the air. My Engineer, a great Christian man, tells us we need $12,000 dollars to make that happen. Well, we are not quite there yet. Actually, we are a long way off. But, with God all things are possible.
This past Saturday I was meeting with a long time Radio and TV Broadcaster and owner of several TV and Radio Stations. He blessed us with a $1,000 gift! Honestly, I broke down and started crying right in his office. I was overwhelmed by his generosity. I was one step closer to having my dream come true. He prayed with me and blessed me to do the work of the ministry.
Here’s the deal. I have a great job at Northside Lexus in Houston and will not be leaving that position. It’s a wonderful place to work and I am so grateful to have that opportunity. I have always been a car guy.
Would you consider making a donation to our ministry to get this Radio Station on the air? Your $20, $50, $500 or another $1,000 donation will be used to purchase the equipment and pay our Engineer to finish the work. Our Engineer has spent countless hours on this project and has not charged me a penny to get this far. It would have cost us thousands of dollars in research and development to just file the paperwork with the FCC.
