Therefore, proud Nepalese youths are showcasing the world's highest altitude Eco Fashion Runway at Kala Patthar (Mt Everest base camp) with fashion celebrities of the world. The objective is to educate the world on how the Himalayas of Nepal can be the capital of the earth saving initiative. This is also to promote tourism for Visit Nepal Year 2020. This initiative will highlight the Nepalese sustainable fabrics into the world fashion industry . This will also help Nepal's tourism and fashion industry grow economically.
Fifteen International and five Nepalese models will trek for 14 days to create and register in Guinness World Record and on the journey they will save thousands of liters of water in the Himalayas by using waterless technology. The team will also plant trees to compensate for the carbon emission released on their journey to Nepal from their home country. The project has already raised 200000 USD (cash and kind) and requires 150000 USD for the TV episodes till 28 February 2020. The funds will be used to make the 8 episodes of the toughest journey which will be broadcast in the International TV channels of USA, Canada, Caribbean, Italy, Finland, India and Nepal. The Episodes will brand Nepal as a sustainable fashion hub of the world. After 2020, Nepal will not only be known as the land of Lord Buddha and the Himalayas but also as a sustainable fashion hub to the world.
