Jean Sears Memorial Bench

Donation protected
In memory of Jean Sears, the Glendale Pickleball is sponsoring a memorial bench at the courtside of Pacific Park in her honor. Jean Sears was instrumental in bringing and developing the game of pickleball in Glendale, California. As a founding member and ambassador, she helped spread the love of the game in our community. She coached, mentored, and groomed many of us to become better players. She taught us to play with passion, but remain a good sport. Her dedication, devotion, encouragement, and passion for the game have brought joy to hundreds of players. Her legacy left a lasting impression on many people around our community and beyond. Most of all, Jean was a loved and respected friend by everyone who knew her. Her spirit lives on well in all of us who continue to spread the love of the game. There is no better way to honor her than to actively carry on her tradition.

In recognition of her unwavering love and commitment to the sport, the Glendale Pickleball is raising funds to help build the Jeans Sears Memorial Bench. We are asking for $6,500 in donations to cover the cost of procurement of a new concrete bench, plaque, and all associated staff and maintenance costs. Thank you for your contributions.
