Jed (Jeddy) Beaton

11 year old Jed, was diagnosed with a high grade Neuroepithleial Brain Tumour 2 weeks a go, after suddenly becoming unwell whilst at school in Sunshine Beach QLD. He was rushed to Emergency at Noosa Hospital, where he suffered multiple seizures, was put into an induced coma and had to be transported by care helicopter to Queensland Children’s Hospital Brisbane. 

 Jed had to have emergency brain surgery and the family has learnt that Jed will be commencing a long road of treatment, starting on Boxing Day. He will undergo 6 weeks of Radiation, followed by extensive Chemotherapy treatments for the months following. This is devastating for the family as Jed was a otherwise, fit, healthy, gorgeous 11 year old boy. 

 The very quick decision, along with help of their medical team has been made to move Jed’s treatment to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. The family, Jason, Elise, Liv (Lily and Teddy, the fur babies) will also be relocating to Melbourne indefinitely to be able to support Jed during this stressful time. 

 As most of you already know who are reading this, this family is pretty bloody special. And if a family needed a hand - this is definitely a family to help. The funds raised will be used to assist Elise, Jase, Liv and Jeddy to get through these next steps and to try and ease the pressure of this unbelievably difficult time, making it a tiny bit easier in some way.
