Jeff and Dawn

On October 4, 2006, Jeff and Dawn heard the words "I am sorry to tell you that you have something called Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells." They also heard the words "you are very advanced and might have 6 months left to live." That was 10 1/2 years ago.
After that initial appointment, they moved back to Kansas to be near family and to figure out a plan of action. From that point on, Jeff battled and won again and again. During the past 10 years, Jeff has had 3 stem cell transplants and countless other chemotherapy treatments. All of them worked for a short period of time before he became immune to the treatment, and it was time to try another one. It seemed like they were always lucky enough to have at least one more option in the pipeline.
On January 29, 2017 they went to the ER due to a significant increase in bone pain. Over the next few months, they faced paralysis, emergency surgery, and the discovery of multiple cancerous tumors growing outside of the bone.
On May 5, Jeff left the pain of this world to make the journey to Heaven.
Dawn has been fortunate enough to have a supportive employer, but has been unable to work the past 4 months while she was providing care for Jeff.
We are reaching out to those who hold Jeff and Dawn dear to their hearts, to help with the overwhelming
financial burden of medical bills and memorial expenses.
