JEFF, MAREK & LUKASZ’ UKRAINIAN REFUGEE SHUTTLES

UPDATE 4/3/22:
Hi everyone. My name is Diana Schrager Sevanian and for the past month, my cousin, Jeffrey Davidson Schrager, a veteran American Airlines pilot, RE Broker, and (international) humanitarian cause activist/volunteer, along with two amazing Polish-born truck driver-volunteers Marek Stankiewicz and Lukasz Krynicki, have worked tirelessly at the Ukraine-Poland border and parts far beyond bringing refugees to safety, personally helping them with emergency needs, and providing safe travels to their next destinations/new or hopefully temporary homes. To accomplish this, Jeff, Marek and Lukasz secured a 55-passenger bus and two vans. In all, nearly 769 refugees have been directly helped by them — many now friends for life with these three wonderful guys who stepped up in the Ukrainians’ historic time of immense trauma and needs. The money that we raised here has been an amazing success and we thank you all!!! It not only helps with covering the staggering expenses Jeff incurred but will also help with things like getting a new hearing aid for a Ukrainian refugee who is deaf — his hearing aid was broken when he was beaten back home (owing to communication issues, Ukrainian soldiers erroneously took him for a spy but then apologized and released him). The funds will also help with a beautiful little girl with special needs named Adelina whose family’s apartment was destroyed by a missile. She and her parents are now relocated in Poland and she is getting much needed therapy for autism. These monies will also help a well-vetted non-profit that globally assists with relocating refugees in a safe, responsible, and compassionate manner. All of this success and humanitarian “pay it forward” volunteerism has been supported by caring people like you. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. As all three men head home after their one month journey of a lifetime, they have handed over the baton to new volunteers that they have carefully screened, trained, and know that the work they started will keep going. Thank you all. We wish you and yours great health and safety, always. This fund will be closing this week. Your kindness has worked many miracles, and will continue to do so.
Original message: Hi. My name is Diana Schrager Sevanian and my cousin, Jeffrey Davidson Schrager, a veteran American Airlines pilot, RE Broker, and (international) humanitarian cause activist/volunteer, along with Polish-born Marek Stankiewicz, a professional truck driver and multilingual translator, and newest team member, Lorry truck driver Lukasz Krynicki are at the Ukraine-Poland border as volunteers HELPING the war-torn people of Ukraine. Over the last week they have secured a 55-passenger bus and two vans — they are shuttling and comforting refugees day and night from the crossing point at Hrebenne to intake centers to housing destinations. All of this has been on their own funds but their mission has grown exponentially. They also secured a larger hotel room now for all to sleep in and for use as their base of operations. Jeff has been all over the world many times over, both professionally and as a volunteer for many critical need causes. He says that his meeting up with Marek and Lukas was serendipity — their servant hearts are in this mission 100 percent. The monies raised will help with bus and (soaring) gasoline costs in Poland. They plan to stay there til the end of March but even that could change. Any funds remaining will go entirely to a charity that Jeff and Marek are carefully vetting for helping to support and relocate these suffering people. Thank you for your consideration.
