Tree Stand Fall-Jeff Brewer’s Serious Injury Help
Donation protected
On Sunday evening October 20th, 2019 Jeff was seriously injured while deer hunting from an elevated tree stand in Starke County, Indiana. During the hunt, Jeff fell over 25 feet from the tree stand and woke up on the ground with a a broken back, broken neck, shattered sternum, and 9 broken ribs.
Jeff was unable to find his phone and laid
on the ground for 30 minutes. After some time, Jeff accepted that he wasn’t going to survive and accepted that. Jeff is a single father and began to think of his son which gave him the strength to pull himself to his feet. Falling several times, Jeff walked approximately half a mile to his vehicle and drove himself to the Starke County sheriff’s Office where he laid on his horn until he was able to get help. He was ultimately airlifted to South Bend Memorial hospital where he will remain for the foreseeable future.
Jeff is a single father and owns and operates a small landscaping company in Porter County. He does not have health insurance and faces astronomical medical bills. It could have been any one of us.
