CNN Heroes 2021 campaign
In 2010, Jeff Feingold learned that many in need go without hygiene products because they are not covered by SNAP benefits and are often too costly for nonprofits and shelters to purchase for their clients. That inspired the father of two to start Hope & Comfort, a nonprofit that has distributed nearly 3 million toiletries to people who are hygiene insecure through a network of 200 Massachusetts-based organizations. During the pandemic, the organization grew exponentially, giving away three times the amount of products, including 650,000 bars of soap.
