Help Support The Hardacre Family With End of Life Costs

Donation protected
My name is Andrea and I’ve created this Gofundme campaign on behalf of my partner, Shea, and his family.

On February 9th, 2025, Jeff Paul Hardacre passed away from his battle with liver disease. Jeff was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and companion. In his final days and hours, he was surrounded by friends, family and loved ones.

Jeff was a fighter and had difficult health battles for quite some time. This past year accelerated his health problems. While hospital visits became more frequent, his sudden health decline and passing was a shock to the whole family.

In the midst of this awful loss, we are also navigating the unexpected high costs associated with his passing as well: last minute flights to Detroit, lodging, and car rentals, cost for cremation services, annual group home housing fees for Shea’s sister Paige (who has Prader-Willi Syndrome), celebration of life memorial costs, and more.

If you would be willing, please consider donating to our fundraiser where we are trying to raise $13,000 for the following:

  • Cremation Fee: $2,710
  • Celebration of Life: $1,000
  • Paige's Housing Fees for 4 years: $3,438.84 (The cost per year is $859.71)
  • Jeff's Car Costs: $2000
  • Shea Flight: $484.71
  • Andrea Flight: $486
  • Car Rental: $275.49
  • Lodging: $780
  • Return Expenses for Michigan: $1,825
TOTAL: $13,000

You can view the obituary written by the Van Lerberghe Funeral home here.

Here are a few words written by his son Shea:
"He was the classic Midwest father who’d take you bowling and slip you a beer while he wore some stupid hat with fuzzy hair to make sure you and everyone had a good time. Not afraid to be the goofiest guy at every function, he was the youngest brother of 4 who made sure he laughed his way through the hardest parts of life. A big softy who loved his cats with all his heart, and wasn’t afraid to cry even if he wasn’t good at talking. He taught me hard work, determination, and an attitude that life should be an adventure. The things we did and saw together will burn bright holes in my memories for a lifetime. Life can be cruel and addictions, disease, and illness take people from us way too soon. But the good times I had with this guy will carry me as a man, a brother, a partner and maybe one day a father. Love you Dad, rest easy now."
