Jeff Longan’s Medical Recovery

**UPDATE**
Unfortunately, Jeff has encountered a significant setback in his recovery. Jeff was rushed to Mercy ER on January 8th, suffering from septic shock and multiple organ failure. He spent 12 days in ICU and was transferred back to long term acute care for only 36 hours before being returned to Mercy Hospital to receive intensive treatment for multiple infections. Jeff is so loved, and many of you have asked what you can do to help. The funds will help Jeff with expenses in this new year as he will need treatments and extensive time off work as he recovers. Jeff is so grateful for all your help, prayers and support.
Jeff entered the hospital October 3, 2022 for a scheduled surgical procedure to remove part of his colon that was damaged as a result of Crohn’s disease. He encountered severe complications and instead of coming home, ended up fighting for his life in ICU for 25 days. He has since been transferred to a long term acute care specialty hospital, where he is receiving IV nutrition and rehabilitation. He is facing yet another surgery and a long recovery. Jeff was hard-working and self-employed in the construction industry and will be unable to work for an extended period of time. Jeff has a long road of recovery and rehabilitation ahead and his family’s lives have been upended. The list of worries grows as each day of missed work passes and the medical bills for ongoing care increase. Please reach out with a helping hand to support him financially through this difficult time.
