Jeff Martin Medical Fund

On April 22, 2024, Jeff Martin fell about 10' off of scaffolding and suffered a head injury. He was life flighted to Erlanger where he was placed in Trauma ICU.

He has several broken ribs, a deep laceration on his arm, fractured skull, and bleeding in his brain. He will have a long, hard recovery ahead of him.

He's also an independent contractor with high deductible medical coverage and no vacation time (get it?).

Jeff and Nina will need the support of this community to start and thrive on this unexpected journey. So many people have asked how they can help - this GoFundMe is the best way to help right now.

The funds will be provided to Nina and Jeff's family to cover their deductible and additional expenses associated with his treatment and recovery. It will also be used for living expenses so Nina can focus on Jeff's recovery.

Jeff has been a part of the caving community for more than 25 years. He's been a visible part of conservation, education, and promoting the sport of caving. He previously shared ownership of InnerMountain Outfitters with his wife Nina, served as a Director on the board of SCCI, and Co chair of the 2014 NSS convention. He is an NSS fellow and calls Dogwood City Grotto his home.

He also saves puppies.
