Jeff Mitchell End of Life /Funeral Expenses

Dear friends and family,
Jeff was a loyal friend, family member and work colleague. Some may remember his time with the NJIT police dept., or his freelance work repairing computers, taking photographs, or community work with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Most know him from just socializing because he was a very social guy!
Unfortunately, Jeff passed away recently on April 2nd from COVID-19 related causes.
As Jeff's brother, I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of his funeral and related expenses. This Pandemic has limited our ability to mourn and manage his affairs. Some of you may remember that we lost our mother in September of 2018. Jeff and I were still recovering from that loss.
Our family, was not prepared for his departure and during this especially difficult time we are reaching out for help. Not only were we unable to visit Jeff in the hospital or be with him through this painful process, we also cannot honor him as we would like given the current conditions. We plan to delay his memorial until we can come together as family and friends and give him a well deserved, loving farewell.
