Jeff Turnbull is critically ill, in the ICU

I’m Jeff’s sister, Jody. Jeff was hospitalized a week ago in critical condition. He had

contracted a virus nearly a month ago that continued to worsen with each passing week. By the time he was hospitalized, he was in heart failure, had sepsis, failing kidneys, extreme shortness of breath and almost nonexistent blood pressure. He was intubated and sedated. The doctor told me at that time, that Jeff was on life support and he would not know for 48-72 hours if Jeff would survive. He was on three blood pressure medications, antibiotics, oxygen and a myriad of medications I’m not familiar with, as well as receiving vascular dialysis in an attempt to get his kidneys functioning. In the last two days we’ve seen small but significant improvements. We’re prayerful that he will survive, though it is still very critical.

Jeff is fighting- his greatest love, Mocha, is waiting on his return and this dog means everything to him.

For those of you that know my brother, you are aware he would never ask for help. You are also aware he has nothing financially, including no insurance. He lives meagerly on SSI with no other income. I fear his medical debt will be catastrophic. Beyond the hospital bills, we don’t know if Jeff will need continued care and/or medications should he get to the point of being released.
