Hi Friends,

As many of you know, Jeff Underhill passed away last Tuesday.

I met Jeff in 2014 when I bought one of his awesome tents. We became good friends. Jeff had a huge impact on the Renaissance Festival community. His work literally makes a festival more beautiful. I bet it would be hard to find a Ren Faire where you don’t see dozens of brightly colored Underhill Pavilions.

This last year Jeff struggled. Many of us were aware of what he was going through. I want us to remember him for his funny stories, his creative mind, and his incredible talent.

Vanessa, Jeff’s partner, needs our help to keep their goat farm running and deal with all of the unknowns we face when we lose our person unexpectedly. Jeff and Vanessa were partners for 16 years. There will be a lot to sort out and in the meantime, bills, feed, etc.

There are no firm plans for a service yet. I’ll be sure to make an update as soon as things have been decided.
