Jeffers Family Fund

Hello everyone. My best friend and his family have recently suffered some tough times. His father, Michael Jeffers, was rushed to the emergency room on March 15th, admitted to the ICU, and became unresponsive. He was placed on a respirator to keep the oxygen moving through his body.

That night, ICU waiting room held his 10 children, 2 spouses of his children, his wife, 2 girlfriends of his sons, 1 sister-in-law, 1 mother-in-law, and a young couple who are like their own children... 19 people. When they got him settled, the doc came to the waiting room and asked for the person who was here for Mike Jeffers. The whole room raised their hands. He looked shocked and then asked for " the wife ". Mike actually laughed as well as he could at the time being.

His diagnoses at this time are still CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, RIGHT-SIDED HEART FAILURE, ASCITES, PNEUMONIA (capped diagnoses are the new ones this week) chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, peripheral venous insufficiency, and obstructive sleep apnea.

Mike has both right-sided and left-sided heart failure with high pulmonary arterial pressure. Although too indistinct to be certain, the doctor thinks the aortic heart valve that was replaced 5 years ago is malfunctioning. It was supposed to last 20 years. Further tests are being done to see if that valve is still functioning. If the valve is bad, he will be facing open heart surgery, and he is not a great surgical candidate. He would be high risk.

I have been lucky to know the Jeffers Family for most of my life and they are good family friends. They are the type of people who are always there and will always have your back through thick and thin. Since they have always been there for me, I feel like it is my responsibility to have there back in their time of need.

I'm asking for your donation to help pay for current and future medical bills that the family will be facing. Donations will also go toward food for the family while Mike is out of work as well as gas; as the family often travels back and forth to the hospital to be their father and husband as he faces his battles.

No matter the size of your donation, whether $100 or $1, even a prayer, every little bit will help. I would ask that you please share this post in order to try to raise as much money as we can to help this amazing family. Thank you for your support and helping me make my best friend and his family have one less thing to worry about.

God Bless,
