Jeffery Barker’s Road To Recovery
Donation protected
Please join me in supporting Jeffery Barker during his recovery from a spinal cord injury. On March 16, 2024, Jeffery took a fall from a nine foot building, causing him to break 3 vertebrae at the base of his head. He was helping his father to build a shed on their property. After being life flighted to Kennestone Hospital, he had an emergency surgery followed by a second surgery the following Monday to fuse his vertebrae and stabilize his spine. He is now in the ICU, where he will remain for several more days. After his release from the hospital, the next phase of his recovery will be at a rehabilitation center, where he is expected to endure months of physical therapy.
For those who don’t know personally, let me say he is a son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and coworker. He is a very soft-natured individual who is always ready to help others. He has a very warm smile and personality. Jeffery is a self taught diesel mechanic, who has worked diligently for the past 10 years to build his career and reputation.
As most young adults do, Jeffery has health insurance. However, he is not covered by disability insurance. My goal is to lesson his burden and raise funds to cover his $7,000 deductible, the cost of life flighting him to the hospital, as well as the other unplanned and unthought of expenses that are bound to develop. All donations will go to the family to assist with the medical bills.
Jeffery and his family are beyond moved by the support and prayers from their community.
