Jeffery Maddie Rue Terra

Jeffery Update: Today was the visit with the Neurologist. His cancer is called Glioblastoma which is a genetic cancer tumor. It is aggressive and grows fast so we will be starting treatment right away. The treatment will be 5 weeks of radiation that he will have 5 days a week. He will also be taking Chemo in pill form. 3 weeks after all the above are completed another MRI will be ordered to determine the next steps.

 

He has a visit tomorrow with the Medical Oncologist and then another visit will be scheduled with a Fractional Radiation Oncologist.

 

Staples were all removed today (about 35) and he is healing nicely. They are recommending a Keto Diet as other patients believe that has help their systems go through the treatments.

 

Jeffery was devastated by this news and broke down and cried in the office. I had Gayle on speaker phone and she and I both offered him words of encouragement. We really do need prayers. This is treatable but every person responds differently. At least he is in good health otherwise as that will help him also. He asks that you all please give him some time to process all of this and he will be back on soon. He just wants to have some cuddle time with Terra and Sunflower and get some rest. So please reach out to Gayle or myself and not directly to him for the next few days. I am sure he will be reading posts but probably will not respond for a few days.

 

They say that about week 3 he will get very tired and weak from the radiation. He will need to take Uber daily back and forth for his treatments so anything donated will be a blessing. Right now I just got him home and fed and he has gone to bed. It was a long and emotional day. Love & Hugs to you all and your babies..
