Jeffin Raju was a soul that touched many lives and made an impact on anyone he’s come in contact with. His charm, boundless energy, willingness to go out of his way to help anyone in need and his way of connecting to people will always be remembered. Jeffin was empathetic, hard working with a great attitude and a brilliant sense of humour. He was never one to take himself seriously, he was able to connect with individuals of various age groups and endeared himself to all that knew him.
Jeffin leaves behind a young family - his wife, Silpa and their two sons Leon (age 4) and Caleb (age 1). Jeffin’s favourite role that he ever took on was of that of being a husband and a father. Jeffin’s world revolved around his wife and two boys and always showed up for them in every way possible.
Jeffin moved to Vancouver in 2003 to pursue his BBA at Kwantlen and completed at UNBC.
Upon attaining his BBA degree, he joined HSBC in 2010 as a personal banker and rose within the ranks attaining his MBA from Queens University while working within the bank eventually obtaining a Corporate Banking ISB Relationship Manager role in UAE with a bright future ahead of him. In his work life, Jeffin was a long time member of the Executive Committee of SANDI (South Asian Networking and Diversity Inclusion) and co-chaired this employee resource group for several years.
During his time in Vancouver, Jeffin was actively involved in the youth activities at St. Thomas Marthoma church, Vancouver. He went on to serve as the secretary for the church for a year. In addition, he was a part of the Young Families division of the church. He was an individual who helped students find jobs and provide assistance to new families that immigrated to Canada. He went out his way to help settle numerous families and students in Vancouver when they first arrived.
Jeffin left Vancouver in 2019 for UAE, but even after doing so he always made an effort to be in contact with many of us. He was known to always make time for his friends and family.
