Help The Jeffries Family Rebuild After Eaton Wildfire

Renee and Gerald Jeffries have lived in Altadena, CA for 35 years. They would have lived in their home on Palm Street for 30 years this year, in June. Since having moved to the community in 1990 and into their home in 1995, they have raised 3 thriving children, sent them to local public schools like Noyes Elementary school and Eliot Middle School (both of which have been lost in the fire), and given of their time and resources to supporting and building up the community of Altadena, where they lived.

They went to beauty salons in the neighborhood - that is now gone. They frequented grocery stores and local Mexican restaurants - all of which have been destroyed in the fire.

They have been hard working members of the community, volunteering at their local church and being active in supporting initiatives that gave the community life. From Little League baseball games that Gerald coached, to supporting the local farmer's market that Renee would frequent in Loma Alta Park, The Jeffries Family has given so much to the community of Altadena...only to have lost EVERYTHING on the morning of January 8th, 2025 in the Eaton Fire in Altadena.

THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING. The house. Their wedding photos. Their children's childhood mementos. Everything.

They are retired and living on a fixed income - there is NO WAY they can financially afford to replace all that they have lost.

THESE FUNDS WILL BE USED TO HELP RENEE AND GERALD REPLENISH THEIR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AND PROVIDE THEM WITH FURNITURE, HOUSEWARES AND DAILY LIVING ESSENTIALS ONCE THEY ARE BACK ON THEIR FEET.

PLEASE...let's help them rebuild what they've lost and start fresh.

My name is Kathi McWhorter, and I am raising funds for my dear friends Renee and Gerald Jeffries whose house burned to the ground in the Eaton fire.

I cannot imagine how devastating it would be to lose everything you have worked for your entire life. As you can see from the picture, The Jeffries family is a beautiful one who had built a wonderful life for themselves, only to have it all lost within 30 minutes.

This would be emotionally traumatizing for anyone. The entire neighborhood is gone.

PLEASE: I am asking members of this human community to help out my dear friends at this emotionally and stressful time in their lives. This could happen to anyone.
